In 2005, I made a hollow wax cast of a typewriter. I gave it to my dad, who put it on his desk, where it sat for 6 years in the sun, melting gradually. By happy accident, the wax slumped without breaking and was cast in bronze, concluding the melting process and making a commemorative object.

The molten word speaks to the changes in narrative perception and the relationship of story telling to the overall narrative.
